Kid's Club
Thank you for your interest in East Jordan Elementary Schools before and after school Kids Club program.
We will need a few things from you to get your child fully enrolled in our program. These include a child information card and signed handbook paper (K-5) along with the mandatory $25 enrollment fee per child. All of this must be completed before your child may attend.
Please be sure to look at your calendar for th year. This has the days we are open during the year and on half days and full days when school is closed. Our after-school program is open from 3:04 until 5:15. We also have a before school option which opens at 6:30 am.
We have programs for students enrolled in our PreK programs as well as our school age students. We also have care on Fridays for 3-year-olds. Prices for our program are as follows:
Before school - $5/day
Afterschool - $10/day
Friday care for PreK - $35/Full Day (8-5:15)
Half day - $30/half day (when school is canceled in the afternoon)
Full day - $35/day (when school is canceled for the day)
We do charge a $10 late fee per child for any child picked up after 5:15 if you do not give us a proper warning.
If school is canceled due to inclement weather or illness Kids Club is also closed.
All families must download the Brightwheel app, as this is the app used to check your child/ren out when picking up. This is also the way we communicate with families. You can also pay your bill right through the app. Invoices will be sent for the previous week on Mondays. We charge based on attendance; therefore, you will only be charged for the days your child/ren attend. We ask that the bill be paid by Friday, otherwise your child/ren may not attend until the invoice is paid.
Our after-school program is a way for your child to have fun, while still getting some academic components mixed in each day. We start our day with a snack, which is provided by the EJ Cafe. During snack the children will watch an educational show or one of the teachers will read a story. After snack we will do physical activity. This could include playground or gym time. We will then return to the classroom where we will do some group academics. Because our group is of varying ages and skill levels this will typically be a STEM or social emotional lesson or activity. We will sometimes throw some math or reading/phonics in by doing Jeopardy or BINGO. After a quick academic lesson, we will do an enrichment activity, which could be a craft, board games, or free play in the room.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out.
